"Gabriela" is a Latin-tinged R&B pop track layering a mid-tempo groove with acoustic guitar accents and a Spanish-language bridge performed by Daniela Avanzini. The song is about a woman who begs another not to steal her man away. It serves as the second single from KATSEYE's EP, BEAUTIFUL CHAOS. It follows their hyperpop anthem "Gnarly".
Originally, it was a demo meant for Rita Ora and Anitta. This collaboration happened in 2019 but was eventually canceled. It was offered to various companies and was bought by HYBE and UMG. The music video showcases striking, cinematic visuals and features Jessica Alba as the CEO of Gabriela Enterprises, along with a bit of dramatic storytelling that resembles soap operas.
As Teen Vogue pointed out, it captures the emotional tension of Dolly Parton's "Jolene," but with a fresh, modern twist.
