Playboi Carti teams up with the British MC Skepta, 7 years after their first official collab Lean 4 Real went on to become a cult classic.
On “TOXIC”, Carti uses his deep voice – something we haven’t seen much throughout a song completely in this album – to talk about his recent experiences of his luxury lifestyle and gaining a load of money and fame in the process of not releasing music actively in the break between this project and his one before.
Skepta follows the trend with a catchy verse on this dark and unworldly beat produced by the veteran producer Cardo. Big Smoke underscores the respect that the “streets” have for him – even American streets.
